Quiet Book

I was doing a little after Christmas shopping at our local craft store the other day (Ben Franklin for you local girls) and I saw this cute fabric panel. Usually I don't like panel projects but this one caught my eye. I love the illustrations, they remind me of my childhood picture books. I love the colors, almost a jewel tone feeling. So I cleared off the table in the crap room and went to work.
It was fun, it was easy, and it's finished. I'm going to make another one tomorrow. A little something for the sweetpeas

  1. I love it. Of course, I love anything old-fashioned! My mom made several cloth books for my children when they were toddlers!

  2. I am so jealous!! YOU have a Ben Franklin's near you! We had a teeny one close by (for years), then they closed it (about 3 years ago). I LOVE that place--you could always find great stuff in there--just like YOU did!!

I loved your "organizing and cleaning out" post! I just smiled and smiled, cuz your storage area looks like mine! Bet your's looks much neater now!

    Have a great weekend! Dana

  7. Hey thanks for coming right over to visit my little post. I'm in LOVE with this adorable Quiet Book. Love the colors and the pictures.
Thanks so much for the photo of your "stuff" in the basement. You talk about your "crap room"...well I have a crap garage. I think this sort of stuff (madness) just goes along with having a creative mind. Anyway, it made me feel a lot better. : ) And I loved the little dolls you found from your childhood...precious!

  13. How precious! I didn't know there were any Ben Franklin's left; that was a store from my childhood, but then it was a "5 & 10"... haha, I'm really telling my age now, huh?
