"Winter is the time for comfort. For good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand, and for a talk beside the fire. It is the time for home."Edith Sitwell
Hi Sue~ I should print this out and keep it where I can see it every day. I whine a lot in the winter. I didn't know Utah was a gray place...Pittsburgh sure is. We have fewer sunny days than Seattle which surprises most people. Whenever the sun comes out for even a short time in the winter..I always want to run outside and look up at it. Thanks for reminding me that it's good to have the time to be cozy inside! Have a lovely Sunday! Joyce
I think by getting older, we come to understand that cozy moments become fewer and fewer, with all that this land has been blessed with to be apart of. I feel blessed to be a women in the Gospel in these snowy, cold months. Because, like you, I want to capture each opportunity to find cozy. Your the best!
yes I need some cheese with my whine! lol However...... I do love the feel of the sunshine on a cold day, and the warmth of my wood fire, the yummy taste of soups, the smell of fresh bread, fuzzy socks, a good movie and a cozy blantket, a good book and some hot popcorn, the moonlight seeping into my bedroom at night, twice as bright because the ground is snow covered... I guess I would have to agree with Edith Sitwell...."it is the time for home" . I am a ton more "nesty" during the cold months. :-)
I should remember all these things I love during the cold months, that really are not the same during the warm ones, and complain less! ongrats on your new grand this year! Enjoy Mercy
I know most people don't love the winter months. But I really do, I miss all the snow.
