"Life is good. It is precious. It is a great blessing. Even on it's worst days. And in it's deepest valleys you must remember the view from it's highest mountains. You must not forget that happiness is a matter of perspective, not circumstance." Bob Lonsberry
How true...we can't forget the big picture in all of this, not just the close-ups! Hope you have a wonderful 2013!
ReplyDeletelovely picture
ReplyDeleteWell, I read this post to myself, then re-read it, letting it sink in...cuz I really need posts like this, then I read it out loud to my wonky teenager. He snorted and very knowledgeably declared you must have never had any worst days! Yeah, it's time for him to leave home while he still has a firm grasp on ALL knowledge! (Smile.) and really this year has been easier to remember the view from the top. Weve had some way low valleys that I thought we would NEVER climb out of with this last chick. Thank Heaven, for reals, that we are not there right at this moment. ( I need to go ground myself or something cuz, saying it out loud may jink us ) Happy new year Sue.
ReplyDeleteHi Mimi: What a lovely saying. I would love to live by that each and every day, and I try. Thank you for your sweet comment to me and I look forward to more visits in the new year..Judy
ReplyDeleteGood advice and one I need to remind myself of. I tend to forget the blessing side of things sometimes and only see the challenges.
ReplyDeleteAmen to this post! Wishing you and yours a very Happy New Year! xox

ReplyDeleteSo true, happiness is a matter of perspective or attitude.
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous of your Ikea kitchen with it's deep drawers!! Next time I have a kitchen that needs re-doing I will be going with an Ikea one!
Love this quote!
ReplyDeleteGoes right along with my personal goal, and "project happiness".
Hope this year is blessed, and full of happiness for you and your family.
