"It is not what you do for your children, but what you have taught them to do for themselves, that will make them successful human beings." Ann Landers
What a lovely quote. I am looking for a quote for the last day of school - I always weave a quote into my last lesson in the hope that my students will think of it and me as they go on to high school.
This quote is going on my list of possibilities. I have several and haven't quite decided. It is a pretty important decision this year because I am retiring.
how true is this quote Mimi??? I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a mother and grateful for their independence even if I sometimes wish they never would have left home. LOL! sending hugs...
Amen, simply beautiful, Francine.
ReplyDeleteAmen to that.

Oh so true. Beautiful photo!
ReplyDeleteI agree with this completely ...I think we, as parents, owe it to our children to teach them independence.
