Snow Day

It snowed all day yesterday so I stayed in my jammies and got a few things done. First I wrote our Christmas letter.
I saw this at the Nester so of course I had to copy it. The shelf was 50% off at Hob Lob last week. The mommy gave me the vinyl lettering last year it says "He is happiest, be he king or peasant, that finds peace in his home." Love that. Someday I hope to have bookcases on both sides of the fireplace and maybe a painted brick surround and hearth and a real mantle, but for now this'll do. Last night I started stringing popcorn and cranberries for the tree. It usually takes me a few nights to finish it. After all the snow yesterday not much of it stuck but this is what the house looked like this morning. The mister wanted to know if it was really me out in the middle of the street this morning taking a picture in my jammies. The neighbors already think I'm a little off so what could it hurt?

  1. Wow,snow. Here in South Texas it is in the 70's. I am home with a sore throat. I am getting some decorating done though. I can't just lay around and waste precious time.
