When I saw a cute witches shoe at Swiss Days last month I thought I should have one. I do have a lot, OK, too many Halloween decorations so I put the little shoe back and decided to leave it for someone else. When I got home I was sorry it didn't come home with me because, really, can anyone have too many Halloween decorations? So I decided to try and make one myself. The first thing I did was draw a pattern on some newspaper.
Oh my gosh how cute!!!
ReplyDeleteI have a pattern for a witches boot that I am going to make... I said this very same thing last year when I bought it. Maybe now I'll get around to it... Maybe... :)
Hey I tried to find you on Facebook but can't seem to.... You are on there right?
You clever gal...that is SO cute! I would never think to try that, mine would be a joke! I just love it...way to go! You crafty gals out there have my total respect!

I can't even imagine how the one you saw could be cuter than the shoe you made! That is adorable!
ReplyDeleteHi Mimi Sue
ReplyDeleteThe witches shoe turned out fabulous! Why would you buy one when you can make such a great one yourself?
Hugs, Rhondi

ReplyDeleteOH my goodness! That is soooo cute! I DID go to swiss days AND saw the shoe, I ALSO "tried" it ON...AND found the PRICE did not fit! Yours is just as cute! Good job!
ReplyDeleteMimi Sue,
ReplyDeleteLove your boot! The ones at swiss days were ordered wholesale, they did not make them. Yours, hand made and adorable.
Love, Joy

LOVE YOUR BLOG, STOP BY & SAY HI :) GIO
ReplyDeleteYou did a GREAT job on your shoe! If you can design your own pattern and sew it up like that, I know you'll make a good quilter if you give it a try.
ReplyDeleteMimi that is soooooo cool. It's amazing.

How I wish I could have crafted with you today! Love the boot!
ReplyDeleteADORABLE!!!
ReplyDeleteThat looks pretty dang good. I'm forwarding this to my mom--she was eyeballing them at Swiss Days too. Maybe I'll try to make one for her, since I can spray paint again. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming over yesterday--It forced me to pick up really well (and hide our basker of junk in the laundry room) and it still looks almost as clean today--except the couch cushions are currently piled up and being used as a slide. Forget the one outside it took Dad a week to assemble. ;)
Love it, Mimi!
ReplyDeleteOy My Gosh! That turned out so wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteIt is darling. I can't imagine the Swiss Days one being cuter. I've never been to Swiss Days but every year I want to go.
