Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Progress

Putting up the sheetrock is a slow process. We had our son in law and my friend Janis's son over last week to help with the ceiling. The mister has a pinched nerve in his neck, which is pretty painful, so he's resting it and trying to recuperate. Like everything else we do here at Mimi's Cottage it's slow going but eventually it'll get done.

Not easy lifting that sheetrock...go easy on the Mister!
My Mister is just recovering from the pinched neck and now he has three coats of paint to put over the new wall texture in our sunroom...he thinks he can do it. Well I say if he can...then I just may have another room done...we'll see!
Life is not that easy for the men in our creative lives is it?
I think they enjoy it.

Oh I know slow! LOL Sometimes it feels like a killer huh.
I see you are making a little under the stairs retreat for the sweet peas! They will love it!
Sorry the Mr. is under the weather...hope he gets feeling better sooner than later. :-)
Progress IS progress after all!
Enjoy your day.

Keep the faith that it will get done and will be fabulous. I can tell you that 'cause I'm not the one having to go through it!

A pinched nerve!!! Oh no! Be sure he gets it worked out, because pinched nerves can cause permanent damage if left untreated. I usually have to go to a chiropractor to get mine worked out. However, I never go to the ones that "crack" your bones anymore. I go to the ones who have a gentler approach.
I'll add hubby to my prayers tonight. Good luck with the construction going on at your place.

It'll be great when you get it finished! You are lucky to have a man that is handy around the house.

I remember this process so well! Sheetrock can be a beast! I hope he recovers soon. It sure was hard on Mr B doing our basement.
I can promise you it will all be worth it though. How wonderful to be building a little playhouse house for your little ones with the basement.
Ours love the one my husband built and it was well used this past week.
We made it two story and the door enters from the hall under the stairs. It has three windows into the family room and one into the hall that is on the upper level.
We haven't painted the outside to with a theme because my sister and daughters needed a place to live right after finishing our basement. The family room is mostly their living area. I am looking forward to see what you do with yours:-)
Good luck and it too will get done!

You mister is so darling. Mr stitches doesn't like helping me at all. He does but he doesn't like it. We just bought a shearder so he can empty several boxes so that I can have that room.

I can't wait for your room. Tell you hubby that I just love him.

I will be in Aunt Elsie's shop Tuesday from 10.00 to 6:00. Love to see you, but I'd rather be with you.

Take care
