She cut a 4 inch circle into a spiral and pushed it out a little to form a flower. Then hot glued it so it would stay in the flower shape.

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Adorable Inexpensive Centerpieces
Look at these cute centerpieces my daughter #2 made for a little dinner she hosted. She needed to come up with something inexpensive so she started with a 4X4 inch piece of wood, cut into 6 inch lengths. She added plain scrapbook paper to 4 sides of the block of wood and polka dots (Lisa!) cut from the same colors as the flowers. She drilled some holes in the top of the wood block.

Oh my gosh! These are so cute...love the way the flowers coordinate with the polka dots. Bet the tables were lovely...and cheery! (I love paper flowers!)
Lots of creative talent in your family!

Okay, it took me a minute to figure out the spiral, but now I get it. How stinkin' darling is that?! The apple does NOT fall far from the tree.
Their darling! Like mother/like daughter. Have a great day.
