Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Packing it Up

I hope your Christmas was as much fun as ours.

There was lots of family, friends, and food.

Very delightful, although we missed the California kids so much.

Now all of this needs to be put away until next year.

Even though the decorations will be put away,  I'm hoping to keep
the Christmas spirit going all year.

I put mine away today too and since I hadn't put much out this year, it didn't take long at all! :D

Yes, I was ready to pack her up as soon as the g'kids and family left.
I'm ready for 2012 now. Bring it on!
Happy New Year!

I will be putting mine away today also and for the first time I am not sad about it being over, I am looking forward to what the new year brings in my new home!

I put mine away the day after. I usually do that. I like getting it up and I like having it down. Your things are all so lovely.

Not yet! At my house anyway! LoL
Just like the song says....I cry the day I take the tree down! ( but seriously, I only just got it all out) next week it can be put away. I'm holding on to the wonderful Christmas we had. Not ready for 2012 yet. not ready for school to start, not ready for the less stressful days to end.
Enjoy

Oh your decorations are just wonderful. I always leave mine up until the new year and then put them away. My husband loves the outside white lights in the snow and since we have not had much this year he wants to leave them a bit longer. I hope your Christmas was wonderful. I will be starting to sew again soon and will be working on that special little doll :)

The hardest part is putting it away. I don't want it to be over and yet I'm so excited to clean it up and start fresh.
