A couple of weeks ago Queen Elizabeth celebrated her Diamond Jubilee.
Sixty years as the monarch of the United Kingdom.
That's quite an accomplishment.
Since I'll be turning 60 later this year I thought I'd help her celebrate.
I guess it's my Diamond Jubilee too.
I broke out the good china.
Spiffed up the patio.
Added a few crowns to some of my potted plants.
Made some yummy "high tea" food.
Bought some English Tea Cookies.
A friend brought a delicious authentic trifle made with custard and fruit.
And for party favors I made some ENGLISH toffee for
my friends to take home with them.
It was a fun afternoon.
Congratulations Elizabeth!

How fun! I love English tea parties with pretty china. Your friends were lucky to get the toffee, too.
What a wonderful idea. Way to go.
What a fun party, Mimi! Everything looks delicious...ooh, the trifle!
I love the little crowns! Everything looked way pretty. :-)
Happy birthday later on this year!
Enjoy!

Hi, the recipe for my grandma's strudel is in a previous post. You can find it under the label "food".
Thank you for visiting,

Oh that sounds like fun and everything looks great! Toffee - yummo! Not so easy to make. I tried once and it came out too chewy. A friend here makes it for us every Christmas -- I have to hide it from my kids. :) Happy almost 60th to you! Tammy
Looks yummy!!! I love your blog...I am new to blogging and yours is so cute! ...candice

What a cute party!
Super wowed by your celebration. Especially the crown in the plant pot! Spectacular.
