Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Progress

Hope you all had as nice an Easter as we had.

Church in the morning then family and friends over for dinner.

It was a beautiful, warm spring day here in northern Utah.

My favorite kind of day.

This little bunny rabbit jar was my one and only Easter craft this year.

I filled them with Reese's Pieces Easter eggs and gave them away.

We (meaning he) are making progress on our bookcases.

One of the sides is finished.

The other side has it's base completed.

It takes us (meaning him) a long time to finish a project.  But when it's done, it's done right.

Pretty good considering he's figuring out how to make these cabinets as he goes.

I'm looking forward to unloading some boxes of books and such that have been taking up space in our storage room.

Looks like I could spend some time cleaning up the place...

The bookcases are looking spectacular Sue - bet you can't wait to get them filled up and decorated. Have you found a fireplace mantel that you like yet?

The bookcases are looking lovely. I think built-in shelves add a lot of style to a room-and they are functional, too. Nice!

Oh how fun those will be when they are all done. I love book cases. I would have so much fun "filling them" with lovely little things.
I also love the color of the walls.

The built-ins are looking great and the added storage and display space will be fun to fill. You are so fortunate to have a husband who can build "stuff".....you just need to keep him off the roof.
Is it my imagination or is your header new? It's so cheerful and Springy....I really like it!
Hope the sun is shining for you today. It's finally getting more Spring-like in Western PA.
xoxo

You have one of those too, when it is done, it is done right. I love the bunny jar. Did you glue that on and then paint it? Nice day today, huh.

Very beautiful!
It will be way nice to be able to get your books out.

Our Easter was warm here too. The w.i.n.d. Did blow some tho, but then, that's Eastern Ut for ya. The day before when we went Easter picnicking, it was a windless and warm and oh so nice to be out of doors kind of day.
For spring break we came to the city, and went, of all things, fishing! We had a good time.
Are you and the Mister at the conference center today?
Enjoy your Day
