Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Craters of the Moon

The Mister and I took a little road trip to our neighbor to the north,  Idaho.

We camped at a very interesting place called Craters of the Moon National Monument.

We met some friends there and had a great time.

There were lava flows and lava rocks and we walked on sharp lava gravel.

We saw lots of rocks.

Piled up rocks...

Walls of rocks...

A couple of trees growing out of rocks...

 And then some more rocks.

It was a fun trip with our friends.

We learned a lot about the geology of the region.

We can say we've been there.

And we don't ever have to go again.

Did you walk through any of the lava tubes? Did you see any rock climbers? That's a fun area.....
