Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. A Heart for Jack

Have you been over to Daisy Cottage lately? (Doesn't everyone go over daily?) Kim posted a touching post a while back about one of her readers, Tabatha, who passed away not long ago. Her husband, Jack, wrote a sweet note to Kim telling her that his wife would visit Daisy Cottage and feel uplifted and forget about her illness for a little while. Go read about it here. Kim asked her fellow bloggers to make a little fabric heart to send to Jack to let him know we're thinking about him, that we care, and to honor Tabatha and her life here on this earth. Read about that here.
So I made and sent a little heart for Jack.

Looks like they're piling up at Daisy Cottage. Take a look here. Have you made one too?

Edited: For some reason the links are broken, just go to Daisy Cottage on the sidebar, click on it, then the first post about Tabatha and Jack are January 30, 2010. There are several other posts so if you want to you can just find them on her blog. I've been trying to fix this for about an hour and I really need to get down in the basement and finish painting!!

I haven't visited Daisy Cottage before, but I am on the way.
What a darling heart you made!!
Are you getting much snow today?
Here in Cedar City we are getting slammed with it, all day long. I am really tired of this cold stuff.

I loved this idea and visiting her gave me an idea for my sweet friend who is losing her sweetheart.
The basket of hearts is enough to wrap any one in love. Your heart turned out beautiful and I am sure Jack's own heart will be warmed by all the love! ~♥

Hi Sue,
It was fun seeing you tonight! Someone paid me too much money, I think it was you or Janis. It figured to be $10 instead of 20. Please let me know. I tried calling but I had the wrong #.
Thanks, Joy
