A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth.Thomas S Monson

Happy New Year 2009
Thank you all for coming by and visiting with me at Mimi's Cottage. I have so enjoyed getting to know each and every one of you. I hope you and your families have a happy and healthy 2009.
Thanks so much for stopping by and your sweet words too!
I enjoyed looking through your blog too, and that was so cute about the houses being best friends, we have so much in common with our likes and tastes!
I have been asked about the wallpaper a few times and unfortunately its been discontinued, but im making a trip to the manufacturer this coming week to see if the pattern can be re-run, I've had people ask about it, so I figured it was worth a try. If I can get more run, I will post it on my blog. Keep your fingers crossed, I would like more of it too :)
Hope you have a nice New Year and stop in anytime!
Happy new year. I'm getting caught up on comments and to answer your question, I made the blocks myself. I just bought some 2x2's at Lowes and set my table saw to the right width and cut a whole bunch. I used sticker paper to print the pictures on and a light coating of Mod Podge matte to protect them. They are really fun to make. Have a happy day, Janis
Happy Birthday to you too! I hope you have a very blessed one.
You asked me (back while I was tending my in-laws) about my maiden name. I bet you thought I forgot ;-) If you'll email me privately I'll share a little. It's Danish and I was born in Florida if that helps any. lalleescottage-at-gmail-dot-com
