The thing about Tai Pan is it's inexpensive. 91 cents for the little heart shaped plate. $2.50 for the resin bird.

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Tai Pan
We have a wonderful store here in Utah called Tai Pan. It's the size of Home Depot. Think of Home Depot, then think the exact opposite and that is Tai Pan. A warehouse full of cuteness instead of practicalness. Not one single toilet plunger to be found. After lunch with the girls the other day we decided to stroll through the cuteness and found some stuff to take home with us. Apparently I'm looking forward to spring.

Ooh, they have spring stuff? I need to go there! Or, I guess I want to go there. WIthout my children. They always embarrass me there. Like the time Mr Destructo took off and I couldn't find him for over half an hour and I had on no makeup because I'd actually FORGOTTEN to put it on (ugh, don't ask) and was so sure I looked like the perfect white trash mother. Yes, always a joy to shop at Tai Pan with the children. Oh! And I love when the run through the fragile stuff. Wa-hoo.
Hi Mimi Sue...Nice to meet you...I'm glad you found my blog, I love getting to know people that have things in common with me and you HAVE A BOB!!!!! how easy is that hair...I'm dying over here for the past couple of months. I have had a bob forever and back in AUgust the daughter convinced me that it was time for a change...her and the husband actually make fun of the bob, can you believe that?? So I went and grew it out then went and had it cut in layers...Worst thing I have ever done....EVER!! They love it I hate it. It's horrible, as soon as the shortest parts grow out I am going back to my $15. haircutting lady and the BOB will be back...I hope you come back to the blog often....Oh, and you have some diner china too...Sue
Oh I love it allllll!
I've never been there but I have always heard wonderful things about it. I am waiting until my kitchen is painted to go and then I'm hoping to be able to find some cute stuff to jazz up my new kitchen.
I'll have to check out the Rancho store since that's not far from me. I go there to Home Goods all the time.
I LOVE that store. Were so lucky to have one so close to us! One of these days I'm going to be brave and take my camera so I can share with everyone!
I am so excited to hear that you have the W pattern. I've been trying to think of how to make one, I've even gone and bought the fabric for one. Could I borrow it sometime?
Now I am jealous! We don't have one of those here in Colorado, at least not that I've seen. But you got some cute stuff there! Way to go! :)

The size of Home Depot you say???? I could go nuts in a store like that! You need to go back, bring home some more, and show us ;-)
I haven't been there for a while. I've got to get some of those teacups!
Hi Mimi Sue,
So good to hear from you!! I have been trying to play catch-up again. I loved the picture of the birds nest and the little bird, that sounds like my kinda store,
And the pictures of the snow, just beautiful. Up until now we have had a pretty mild winter, so maybe, just maybe you might send us just a little snow,( not to much,) just enough to let me know that it is still winter.LOL!!!
Blessings, Sue
I must go there! You have some wonderful finds!!! Cute!
Hugs,
Maryjane
What a great shop, I've never heard of it! Love what you bought, especially the bird nest.
I've got to get up there and see the spring stuff. Love the nest.
I love Tai Pan...discovered it in October. Just wish it was closer to me.
