Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Doggie Treats and Doggie Rescues

Rudy

Betsy

Kellee Katillac has an adorable dog. His name is Oliver and he is a humanitarian, er, dogitarian. He is doing his part, with a little help from Kellee, to help the animals who have been displaced by the recession. They've already raised a lot of money by making adorable little scarves available to bloggers who decorated them and then sent a picture of the scarf and the doggy back to Kellee. A sponser paid for each completed and blogged scarf. So now, if you go over and take a look at Kellee's blog, (a cute video of all the scarves and animals), the sponsor will donate even more money to a very good cause. So go on, take a look, it'll make some little furry creatures very happy.

I have a fun little recipe that my little puppies love. It's called Peanut Butter Treats and it only takes a few minutes to make.

1 1/2 cups flour

3/4 cup oatmeal

1/4 cup wheat germ

1/4 cup peanut butter

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1/4 cup honey

1 tsp. baking powder

1/2 cup water (more or less)

Combine all ingredients. Roll into little balls and flatten with tines of a fork or roll out and cut with one of these cute cookie cutters that you can find on ebay.

Bake at 325 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned.

I also want to show you this cute little dog bed. It's not mine, although I bought a suitcase to make one, but haven't got around to it yet. I saw this on Tina's Cherry Hill Cottage blog a while back. It belongs to her sister Kathy. Cute, no?

Thanks for sharing this...I so love dogs and the treats look good! The top photo looks just like the little dog I found once, someone had kicked it out because it was peeing all the time. I kept it for a year and a half, and then it passed away. We named her Foxy and she was so sweet!
Come say hi :D

Cute pups!!! I love seeing everyone's dogs on their blogs.
I made some of those dog bisquits for my dog a couple of months ago, but I guess he hates peanut butter. He wouldn't touch them, but my kid's dogs loved them.
Thats a cute dog bed.

The pups are so sweet with their bandanas on! They look quite festive, and I know they'd love one of those yummy treats! I'll have to try them on our pooches. Thanks for the recipe!

Got a good laugh at the picture of the dog suitcase bed....adorable idea for a wee one....But I pictured Boo parking his 135 pound butt on it and having the legs break out from underneath him....My week has been just an ordinary run of the mill we attract every nut around week...maybe next week will be a quiet one.....I hope!

That is sooooo cute and so dang clever. I don't have a dog but I sure do want one of those doggy beds.

Let's meet at Just a Bed of Roses. My appointment is at 12.00. It should only take an hour and 1/2. I could call you when I leave Ogden and then we could meet in Farmington. It's only 2:30 am right now, but I'll call you in the morning before I leave, to see if that will work.
