Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Fun and Not So Fun

Janis, Sue and I got together for a little boutique shopping this past week. Had lots of fun and went out to dinner too. Janis brought us these adorable little Mother's Day bouquets that she made with her Cub Scouts. They're made from recycled water bottles, pompoms, wire, and a thrift store teacup and spoon.
Filled with birdseed and stuck on a long pvc pipe to adorn your spring garden. Thank you Janis!
Sue brought me Mother's Day candy in an adorable little container. Thank you Sue!

Now for the not so fun. Mimi's been moving furniture, lifting heavy 2 year olds, and working in the garden and her rotator cuff didn't like it. So she ended up wearing one of these...

And taking lots of these...

So if I left a comment that was incoherent now you know why...
The shoulder's doing a lot better. Hopefully by next week all will be back to as normal as it gets around here.

Hope your shoulder is better soon; take it easy until then. That's what really sucks about aging; everything hurts; and if it doesn't hurt, it probably doesn't work!

Nice to see you Mimi.
Stay down a minute with your Where women create magazine, its wonderful I know. Just dont get too inspired to start a new project until you get that rotary cuff healed.
Hey, I want to see what's on the labels of those pill bottles...!

think those bottle flowers are the funnest things, at first my eye sight mistakingly thought the birdseed was rice krispy treats. yum!
Bird seed makes better sense.
get well.

Rotator cuffs are more trouble than they're worth. Sorry you're in pain. Milk it. That's my only advice.

Be careful, you work too hard. But it sounds like you play hard too so that balances it out.

Hug to you and happy mothers day
