When I was in California last month I found this adorable idea at a little shop in Temecula. The English call these small favor boxes crackers. They're little decorated tubes with treats inside, usually given as gifts at
This is the one I bought for a pattern. And so I wouldn't forget that I wanted to make some.
They were so fun to make, quick and easy. I filled them with some homemade caramels to give to a few friends. I think I might have to make some for Christmas too.

What a darling idea..loved it! Thanks for the good idea! ;D
We do make them for Christmas! I fill them with little trinkets for the kids and adults. A few dollar bills, some candy and voila! It's a party all it's own!
Yours look a lot cuter than mine!
Inspired, once again. I'm going to make some for Thanksgiving favors. But I'm taking all the credit, because I'm a compliment prostitute. :)
These would be perfect to make for Christmas too. There are so many wonderful images on the internet to use. I think I'll start saving my tp rolls :-)
Have a wonderful weekend!
Blessings,
Marcia
Those are so cute, Mimi. I discovered Christmas crackers when we lived in England... I'm always planning to make them for xmas maybe this year... :)
You are such a inspiration! They are darling!!! Thanks for sharing! You will have to take me to that store in Temecula when you are back here!
Hugs,
Maryjane
Oh my I LOVE these!!! And Lisa won't make them for Thanksgiving because I will BEAT her to them! WHY?? Because 1) she can't find the print out on the internet. and 2) she's never used paypal to purchase said darling items. So I will win. THanks to you!
PS - do you know if there are any lots near you in that fabulous Historic Kaysville? Really... would love to build in Kaysville again ... but the neighborhood would have to be as darling as the historic part!
I love these, Mimi. I just might have to make some for Christmas!
These are adorable! Thanks for sharing with us! I think I will try to make one. I was just down Temecula last week for breakfast at the Swing Inn. I tried walking around all the cute stores but my broken foot kept telling me to go home!
Hugs, Ann
