Here on the Wasatch Front we've had a cold, gray, depressing January so far. But this morning, for
about 20 minutes, the sun shone. (cue the hallelujah chorus) I had to take a couple of pictures
so I can look at them when we have another cold, gray, depressing day tomorrow.
I just wanted to thank you for your kind comments on my Mary Englebreit cookbook
recipes. You all are so supportive of my 15 minutes of fame! Well, semi-fame.
I debated whether or not to post the recipes. Didn't want Mary to lose
any revenue over my giving the recipes away for free. After much soul searching I decided to share
them with my adorable blog friends. So one day next week I'll post them
just for you! Hopefully on a sunny winter day.

Such beautiful winter pictures, Mimi! I get to visit in a couple of weeks--can't wait! (My birthday present from my hubby--a few days with my folks!)
How exciting that you have those recipes! I love her cookbooks! (I think I have them all, too! I'll be getting this one, too, of course! Then I'll just have to whip up my Famous Friend's recipes!
Hope you're having a wonderful night, my friend!
Julie
Not only has it been cold and gray, but very COLD! (That means indoor recess for me and lots of energetic kids!) I enjoyed your sunshine pictures.
The sun like that is such a gift! I remember one year there in Kaysville, we had inversion for 4 months...ugh! Glad you enjoyed it :D
I'm kind of using you~to ride your rich and famous coattails. It's like you're Ronald Reagan! 'Member that big win, and all the Republicans "rode his coattails to victory?" Yeah. It's like that. :) I loved those 20 minutes of warm light coming in my kitchen windows this morning. So much so, that I promptly lost my head and drove to Gardner's Village. Came out to FREEZING SLEET WIND and about 4,000 BIRD TURDS ON MY FRESHLY WASHED VEHICLE. Seems I forgot the rule of Gardner's Village—something about "A bird on a wire is worth 2 tons of pooh"...something like that.
Blessed sunshine! It's good you captured it! No telling when the next sunny day will be here!
Love your home!
Sunshine makes me happy too! Love the picture of it streaming inside your home.
Where was I? I didn't see any Sunshine! Maybe because I was under the covers trying to keep warm.
There IS no sub for sunshine is there! We've been having tons of beautiful clear days...just bitter, BITTER cold!
Enjoy
Mercy
Pretty photos, Mimi! We haven't had much sun here either! Looking forward to seeing the recipes!
I love your pretty photos...it's so beautiful there in your neck of the woods!! I know we're all glad you're going to post those recipes...they sounded delicious! I can't wait to try them out :-)
Blessings,
Marcia
