Mimi Sue's Cottage
A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Enriched
The women's organization in our church meets every so often to have an "Enrichment" night. Last night was the first of 2009. Sometimes we have speakers that teach us first aide and CPR, or how to make a 72 hour kit for emergencies. Sometimes they teach us about breast cancer or what's new in children's literature. Sometimes we have a craft night. I like to call craft night "group therapy".

Oh Sue, what a wonderful Enrichment Night you had! Your Enrichment Leader put a lot of love and time in preparing this one! I will share this with my RS Presidency that I am serving with. Great post!
Hugs,
Maryjane
OK, I so wanted to come to that! Couldn't you post some instructions and recipes?????Ours is tomorrow. I always look forward to going no matter what they are doing, but my favorite would have to be the "group therapy" kind of nights:-)♥Lewaina
That rocky road fudge looks irresistible. Any chance you have the recipe handy?
Hi Mimi Sue,
Just love your pin cushion,I like the word Enrichment night, it seems like you all had fun.
Our women have named our monthly meeting as the Queen Bees
Blessings,
Sue
Oh look how much fun you had. We're having a program this time so no fun crafts. I'm jealous. Janis
I'm so jealous! WE never did anythingthat fun when I was in the ward. It was always service service service stuff--which is good, just not therapeutic when you do it over and over and OVER. I WANT one of those pincushions BAD (was it difficult to make?)and I would like to know the trick to making those boxes look so professional (for my orange fudge) and all that food looked divine. Was that all Tiff's doing?
What fun...I loved the pin cushion you made...so cute. ANd how nice is it to spend a fun night with the girls.
Wow...you got both my wife and I's attention with that post! She was impressed with the cupcake pin cushion, and I was checking out the rocky road creation!
Thanks for your comment on my guest post at Nesting Place!

I MUST have one of those pin cushions!!!!!!!!! Were they easy to make? How might one, oh, say, clear out here in Cali, get my hands on the pattern instructions?????
That looks like SOOOO much fun, fellowship AND enrichment!! You guys packed a whole lot of projects into one evening! Every thing was darling---or yummy looking! I'll bet you guys had a wonderful time. Thanks for sharing. Dana
Wow! I loved everything!!! I'm so glad you took pix for us to see.
I ordered the Grungeboard from the Internet, but I've seen it at two different specialty Scrapbook Stores here. I was just too lazy to drive all the way over. I don't think they sell it at Michael's.
And I loved learning that your daughter served a Sign Language Mission. My oldest son was son into Sign Language at one point, that I thought maybe he would too. But he ended up serving in the Micronesia/Guam Mission.
Have a great Thursday! : )
That fudge looks so scrummy!!
It looks like it was well planned with alot of love and the sisters well rewarded. Your pincusion turned out darling! The food looked yummy. I really enjoy enrichment nights and look forward to them:)
The fudge recipe and the layered mints recipe would be so appreciated! Is it possible for you to share them?
What a fun church!
Alison and I had so much fun making the pin cushions. Thanks for the instructions...
What a fun enrichment night! I'm taking notes!
Oh my stars...I LOVE IT!
