Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Blanket of Snow

This is what we woke up to this morning. This and 15 degrees outside.

The Mister wanted to know who the crazy woman in her pajamas was taking a picture of our house this morning. Well, that would be Mimi of course.

They say this big storm is heading east. Try and stay warm and cozy if you're in it's path.

Oh you brave jammi women..what blogs drive us to do! LOL Your snow is beautiful..I remember those snows in Kaysville, with the lake affect..wowza! Wish we could get some..we get a teeny bit, then the sun melts it all..so much for the 3-4 ft. they said we'd get! Hope you are having a great month..I sure am! Come say hi :D

Oh, there's your wonderful cottage in the snow. I love your sleagh and bowl of ornaments on the porch.

I'm so excited about tomorrow, I will be there at 11.00. Hope it doesn't storm. Call me before 10.00 if your weather is bad.

It seems like it is snowing everywhere. Blog hopping today I found we aren't the only ones. Love your decorations.

Oh I must say I am a little jealous :) Here in Pittsburgh we have not yet experienced snow this winter season. We had a few flurries last weekend but nothing on the ground. I love it when it snows so much that everyone stays home together. We may get some winter weather towards the end of this week---hope it is as pretty as the snow you have. Stay warm and enjoy.

Sue, Your home looks so pretty decked out in the beauty of the snow.
I am glad I am not the only blog crazed, jammie wearing person outside taking pictures in the snow!!! I was doing it last night after midnight! LoL
Your porch is so charming!
Merry Christmas!

I'm so glad you got out in your jammies, it was worth it for us! Our snow is already melted, but my kids had fun in it while it was here. Come by if you get a chance, and see the photos from the quilt show I went to this weekend. It was wonderful. Thanks for sharing!
Blessings,
Marcia

I awoke to a similar scene of wind, cold and snow. But that's ok with me. Snow just does something magical if you ask me.

Your home and street are so charming with it's new blanket of snow and I just adore your front porch decorations.

I love the sled on your front porch. Your home looks so nice every season.
We got snow in So.Utah too. Last two nights it was 5 below. Unusual for us to be that cold.
It looks so pretty, but I sure hate driving in it.

Taking pics outside in your PJs...now that's a girl after my own heart. Hee-hee! I've been know to do that...oh, at least a dozen times or so. : )
Everything looks so lovely. LOVE the sled with skates (right out of a magazine)! And your Santa wreath is wonderful.
Take care,
Mary Lou

LOL......One of the things I LOVE about where I live is that I can wander all over in my pj's........HUmmm I guess you can too! LOL
I ran clear down the lane the other morning to meet my DH who had turned around and was coming back home to get something he had forgotten. I was wearing his bathrobe over my pj's, (I like it way better than my own...) my boots and my hair was of course, sticking out everywhere! My mom later asked me what I was doing out running in my underwear in the freezing weather!
So ummmmm, I'm thinking my mom would say you were outside of your house in your "underwear" taking pictures for us! LOL
I am loving the snow! Which is a surprise even to me? However, the cold is way tooooooo cold.
Enjoy your day.
Mercy
