Thursday Tablescapes

I thought I'd try doing a Thursday Tablescape post. Susan, over at Between Naps on the Porch, is our wonderful host. She has a gorgeous home and a fabulous blog. You should go on over and take a look. If you aren't already a fan you soon will be.

Last week I had a little end of summer/beginning of fall luncheon for a couple of my good friends.

They say if you have more than three of something then it's a collection. Evidently I have a collection of honey pots. I think they're so cute and I do live in the Beehive State.I like to use those little egg cups for candy containers. I bought them a few years ago at an after Easter sale. I have them in yellow, green, pink and blue.

I used flowers from my garden in three small vases and those little bee cards I found on the internet somewhere. I printed them and stuck them in flower frogs.A sheer golden ribbon and a little pipe cleaner bee that I've had for awhile ties up an off white cotton napkin.I think everyone should have white plates. They're so versatile. I bought these years ago at Target. I only bought plates and every time they'd go on sale I'd go down and buy eight (they came in packages of four). I have a lot of these plates.The silver was my mother in laws. They're monogrammed. I love anything monogrammed. The water goblets are Martha Stewart and I got them at Kmart almost ten years ago. My friend bought twelve and I bought twelve. If we needed more than the twelve we had we'd just go borrow them from each other. So many people tell me they love the depression glass. I love to tell them I got them at Kmart.
We had rolls stuffed with a cheese, olive and pepper mixture and Caesar salad. We had lots of fun celebrating the changing of the seasons. Thanks for hosting this fun party Miss Susan.
