Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Garden Tour 2011

We are so blessed to live in an old historic neighborhood that has large yards, old
trees, and fun people.

Last week we had our second annual garden tour.

Want to come along?

Have you ever seen a climbing spinach?

Me either but here it is...

We saw vegetable gardens and flower gardens...

                                                    square foot gardens...

Unusual planters...

Some feathered friends...

A real cabbage patch...

A cozy porch...

A furry friend....

Truly inspiring and so much fun.

Your garden looks a lot healthier than mine right now. I haven't had time to even water! Thanks for reminding me how pretty a garden can be.

So sad I missed it. I could use a little yard inspiration right about now!

They are all so beautiful and tidy (our yard is not tidy). I was trying to figure out which houses are which and I can't.
