Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Distractions

I've been a little distracted lately by this little guy.

Meet the newest member of our family...

Max.

He came to us through the Adopt Me Society, a wonderful rescue organization that takes care of
pregnant mommy dogs that are brought to animal control centers. Then they foster them out until after she delivers her puppies and then they find good homes for them.  And the mommy too.

He's a 10 week old puppy.

He's adorable, cuddly, funny, and smart.

He likes to chew on shoes, table legs, electrical cords, and anything else
that comes along.

It's hard to get a picture of a 10 week old puppy.

They never stop moving.

We're almost positive that someday he'll be house trained.

We're in love.

And just a little tired.

But in a good way.

Max is a GOOD name.
How big do you think he'll get?
Good luck with the newspaper business! Or should. Say the house training business!

What a little doll!! And I love your comment about being almost positive he'll be potty trained one day!! I think boy dogs are harder to train and even when they are, they will still occasionally have an 'accident', at least that has been my experience!! They sure are sweet though and worth the extra cleaning!! He's a cutie!! =)

What a sweet puppy! Is he a Havanese? Good luck with your training exercise...I'd love a dog but I have horrible allergies. I hope you'll keep us posted on his progress...I mean growth and such, not the training part..hahaha!

He's adorable! What a cutie. Your photos made me laugh ~ a little puppy won't sit still, I'm sure. Good luck with the house training.

a new puppy is like a newborn baby in some ways.
Such a cute little doggie.
My husband had this incredible idea for when we potty trained our standard poodle
You attach a bell beside the door on a cord.
Then everytime you take the dog out, you have her ring it with her paw, so she associates that with going outside.
It took very little time before my dog was ringing the bell to go outside.
She will be 2 in May and I think during the entire time we had her, she only had 3 accidents in the house.
It is a good program to take these doggies that need a home.
