Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. My Friend Michael

Have you been to Michael's lately?

Do you remember when they had cute little items for a dollar?

Well now they have cute little items for a dollar fifty.

Who says there's no inflation?

But I bought a few cute little items anyway.

Mary Englebreit I love you.

My spring cupcakes will be adorable.

I bought a little bird that was NOT in the dollar fifty section.

To be embellished for spring.

Another little bird, on a zippered pouch.

One dollar and fifty cents.

Yet another bird, this time on a notebook.  Also one fifty.

Thank you Michael.

I LOVE the used to be a dollar section at Michaels. I bought about 40 notebooks and notecards last year. I keep thinking about giving them away, but then I wondered if the recipient would really "appreciate" how pretty they are. Then I set them aside to think about later, and never get to it. :) I'll be heading over to visit Michael in the next few minutes. Thanks for the suggestion. :)

I love those cupcake holders !!!
Gosh, I was at Michaels just a week ago (when we went in to the city) and never saw them.
I'll have to look next time for sure.
I am kind of in a cupcake thing right now, trying out different kinds.
Can't wait to see what you do with the bird that you said needs embellishing!!

I love the cupcake holders, too! How festive they would look for a shower or spring party.

You are the cutest Sue. There is nothing better than your house in the spring time. I can't wait. PS. Josh is going to attempt to build flower boxes like yours, he may need to come over and get a closer look sometime in the next couple weeks, hopefully that's okay!! :)
