Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Betsy

Last Friday we lost our little Betsy.  She lived with us for sixteen years and the vet
said she was about a year old when we rescued her.  So she had a long and
happy life but it doesn't make it any easier.  Her passing has left a great big
hole in our lives and in our hearts.  We miss you and love you our sweet
little Betsy.

Ahh. It is hard to loose a beloved pet. They truly become part of our family and lives. They are good friends to have around.
Our old dogs are still hanging on, one is 18 the other one is 17. Our neighbor keeps telling the mr. That he'll come over and put her ( Suzie) out of her misery, and we have talked to the vet about putting her down. She's old, but she's not crippled up. The mr. Isn't ready to part with her like that. Not yet. Not with either old dog unless they get much worse.
Hugs.

Oh Dear, what a hard time, but a good time too, to think of the wonderful dog she was and how much she added to your life ... Isn't it amazing how much a devoted pet enrichs our lives, glad you had such a nice long time with her.

I know it doesn't make it any easier. They just become such a huge part of the family.....and to think you had her for 16 years.
Blessed years with Betsy for sure.

What a sweetheart!

I'm so sorry of your loss of your sweet girl.

We lost our Maxie last summer and although it's gotten a little easier with time - it's still hard and we still miss him. So I know what you're going through.

Hugs,

Manuela

I didn't realize you lost your dear pet. I'm so sorry! My father wrote a wonderful letter about losing a pet, to my sister when her Cheeser died. (Great name!) I'll send it to you.

I am so behind in my reading...so sorry it was Betsy's time to go. You love that little dog so.
My friend Liz has this saying on her wall, "Heaven is a place where all the dogs you love come to great you".
