Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Built In Bookcases

Do you see that empty space to the left of the fireplace?

Do you see the fireplace in all of it's unfinished glory?

Well, look at the project the Mister decided to tackle.

That's right!!  He's working on the built in bookcases and the fireplace surround!

Someday we'll have something similar to this...

Country Living

I'm so excited!  But don't hold your breath!

It takes us a lonnnng time finishing these projects!

But I'll be patient because when it's done it's always done right.

Want to see a cute grandgirl?

It's Margaret Anne.
Isn't she getting big?

That will be lovely when it is finished. We are trying to decide on whether to paint our shelves white or leave stained.

Hi sweet Margaret Anne. You're too cute for words. Lucky, lucky Grandma Mimi-Sue! : )
How exciting about the built-ins. They always add such class to any area.
Happy Spring,

Oh those shelves are going to be beautiful but that chubby cheeked baby is so yummy. How can you resist kissing those things?

Little Margaret Anne is adorable!
My husband started a "week long" project back in January. He's still working on it! We're slow but sure. Good luck. I can't wait to see pictures of the finished project.

She's so adorable!

I hear ya! It takes us forever to get anything done since we can't devote all our time to projects. But your built-ins are going to look so gorgeous when they're done and the mantel as a surround!
