Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Up, Up and Away

Last Sunday as I was getting ready for church I heard a funny sound.

Kind of like plastic garbage cans being dragged across asphalt.

What could it be?

I looked out my bedroom window and WOW!

That's something you don't see every day!

And another one!

Floating along so low to the ground.

And another!

Four hot air balloons floating over our neighborhood on their
way to the Antelope Island Stampede.

The noise I heard was the gas from the burner heating
up the air that makes the balloon rise.

Kind of a magical way to start the day.

Kind of late for church that day.

They are magical to see and you don't realize how big they are till you see them in person. I've heard that we have run out of helium...what will we do then? (I nevr realized in was mined)
Enjoyed the pictures of your garden. Dispite all of the hot, humid weather here this summer, my plants did better than ever and my tomatoes were plentiful. Go figure.

I love hot air balloons. We had one go above our house that was real low and then it landed across the road. Thank goodness that he was able to land it...he had gotten a hole in it.

that would be very cool to see.
I have that on my bucket list...to ride in a hot air balloon. Hmmm, wonder if that will ever happen.

(5th Dimension...Would you Like to Ride, in my Beautiful Balloon...)

Oh how wonderful--so beautiful. I love t o see hot air balloons--as long as I see them from the ground below--I am soooo afraid of heights I don't think I will ever be brave enough to ride in one :)
