Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Little Houses

It seems like I've always loved little houses.

When I was about eight years old I received a metal doll house for
Christmas.  I was overjoyed! It had little plastic furniture
and a little plastic family. When playing with that little
doll house you had to be careful.  It had sharp edges so
when you reached in to rearrange the furniture sometimes it would
cut your hand or arm.  But it was so worth the pain!

Last month my friend Janis had a birthday.

I decided to make her a soft little house.

1953 is the house number and the year she was born.

Thanks for catching up with me Janis!

It has a little bird singing on the front lawn.

It was really fun to make.

This is where I got my inspiration.

Aren't they cute?

I have a Pinterest Board full of little houses.

Little houses still make me happy.

Your sweet little house is the perfect personal gift for your friend. I bet she'll be touched. Pinterest is so inspiring. I'm off to look at your little house board!
(I had to chuckle over your 9-1-1 post. I've known that feeling many times. "I know what I'm doing". Right!)
