Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Barn Stars

It's finally warm enough to get out in the yard and get a few things done.  I spent an afternoon last week repainting some barn stars I've collected over the years.

Now they're hanging on our chicken coop that's used for
storage and not chickens.

The Mister made new doors out of recycled fence boards for the coop so we could store the riding mower in it.

This week I'm weeding all the flower beds getting ready for a couple of truck loads of mulch.

Even though we had a little snow on Monday night,  I think
SPRING is finally here to stay.

I have always loved old chicken coops, they remind me of my grandparents farm. I like the idea of using the stars on the side of the building! I see these at the craft store every year and never know what to do with them...now I do:>) Great project idea!

I love the chicken-less chicken coop. I'm a farm girl at heart. Trouble is, the coops we had when I was growing up really were chicken coops. They are much better as sheds!

It was fun catching up with your posts. Your Easter decor is so cute and I am wild about your door carrots...they are so cute! You always know just the perfect touches to create beauty and warmth in and around your home....with a good bit of whimsy tucked in!
Happy weekend Sue!
