Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Skinny Chest

I've been looking and looking for a skinny table or chest or something for my entry. The other day when I was out doing a little Christmas shopping I found this. Kind of dark picture but it's only 12 inches wide, has two drawers and two doors.
I was afraid we'd have to make something to fit our narrow entry, but I have such a loooonnng list of projects I'm so glad we found it. I'm having a luncheon here tomorrow and next week Mimi's Cottage is part of a little neighborhood holiday home tour. The cute Halloween house is part of the tour so I'm going to get LOTS of pictures.

I just love your sweet new little table. It fits so perfectly into your entry way just like it was made for you. Isn't it the greatest when that happens. I can't wait to see more pictures of the "cute little Halloween House". It sure looks adorable. We are having a snowy day here in Pittsburgh today and I too was out in my pj's taking pictures....it must be something about us "Mimis"
Hope your day is great!!!

That's a cool table--and I bet you love that you found something that doesn't need refurbishing. The sanding and painting can be fun, but sometimes I widh I could find something that didn't need work done on it before it could be used.

I didn't think about bringing my camera next week, but I will now. Maybe I'll use it if I can get over my feeling silly about taking pictures of someone else's house..

I think it looks great, and I know how you feel, as if you have to make everything, but sometimes it is just great to have something all ready to go without the work. :)

Sue, would love to come to the neighborhood Christmas home tour, it sounds delightful and there is nothing more I love than to visit homes during christmas.
However, my son informed us Saturday that there is a Marriage (2nd for them both) and so we are treating them to a Wedding dinner. Aren't children thoughtful of their parents some times??? I mean, we both work retail and it doesnt get busier than right now!
So...have a special time, take some great pictures so i wont feel so bad and post them okay?

Beautiful little chest, something that size could go anywhere, and I love the color!
