Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Easy Recipe Holder

Last week some of the ladies from our church got together for a salad dinner and craft night. AKA Enrichment Night. The salads were delicious and I'm looking forward to making a few of the new recipes. And speaking of recipes, we made these cute and easy recipe holders. The little clipboards are new from the craft store, but I'm going to be looking for some used ones at garage sales or thrift stores. It'll really cut the cost down if I can find some. We started out by taking the clip off the board. Then cut out and modpodged the scrapbook paper on the board.
Replace the clip, add the vinyl lettering and you're done. Total time if you're not talking and laughing or eating some jello salad with fudge stripe cookies in it? Probably 30 minutes for all three. My kind of project.

Nice! thrift shops and garage sales almost always have a clip board for sell cheaply.

Very cute. Is that cute Tiffany still your Enrichment leader--she did that with a new baby? Very impressive. They put me in charge of doing craft nights instead of a Super Saturday and it is definitely a little more challenging than I expected.

That is so cute. Think how cute that would be as a gift with a towel. To answer your question. Here is where I get them.

I buy 25 at a time and even with shipping they are just over $2.06/each. Which is pretty good for a gift. And yes, I put rick rack under the bottom edge of the fabric sometimes.
