Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Happy Independence Day

The kids are here and we're having tons of fun. But I wanted to do a quick little post on the 4th of July festivities here at Mimi's Cottage.
You've seen my window framed flag before.

Land of the free pillow on the porch swing.

I stitched this a few years ago. It is a Funky Country Chicks pattern. I didn't want to buy a custom frame so I added the words to the top so that it would fit better in a standard 8 X 10 frame. You can get it at www.funkycountry.com.

I buy these little flags after the holiday when they're even cheaper and make flag bouquets. I set them here and there.

So I sure hope you all have a wonderful 4th with your family and friends. We'll be hitting the lake tomorrow and then on Saturday there's a parade, bbq, and lots of fireworks at home and at the park. Be safe and have fun.

I love your flag pillow and frames.
I love to see that all communities celebrate. I will be up in Liberty.
I've made the quilt that will be raffled.

I love the red, white and blue everyone is posting. Yours is really cute. The flag bouquet is so simple, but looks so neat in a container and I never think to do it.
Glad you are enjoying the kid's visit.
Happy 4th...I haven't heard too much of anything going on by us in south Utah, but there must be something.
