Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. I'm One Lucky Girl

Remember when I told you that I wasn't very lucky? I hadn't won anything since 4th grade when I won a rubber tree at a raffle. Well ladies, since I started blogging that has all changed. First I won a mosaic heart from the adorable Anne Fannie. Then, last week, the UPS man rang my doorbell and look what he brought...
This gorgeous hand dyed silk pillow! Kellee Katillac spotlighted silk artist and color spiritualist, Beth Harrison and picked me for her giveaway. The pillow is the most beautiful aquaish color that shimmers and glows depending on what light it's sitting in. I LOVE it. It feels wonderful too. I could just sit and pet it for hours.

Thank you Kellee and Beth! It's a treasure!

So Dreamy!!! I'm glad your luck has changed! The funniest thing I ever won was a faux stuffed miniature alligater in the 5th grade. Hee-hee! : )

Hi Mimi Sue,
Congratulations, what a beautiful pillow.
I read your last post, and thought it was so cute, I know the empty feeling when the grandchildren leave, I also would not wash the little finger prints off. lol at least for a while.I am so glad you got to spend this precious time with them , making more memories. We will be picking two of our older grandchildren up tonight, whom we have not seen in a year. And we are so looking forward to that. Thank you for sharing,
Blessings,
Sue

Isn't is great to meet wonderful people from all over. The pillow is bright and happy:) Congratulations!
I am glad you enjoyed your babies while you could. My heart gets this huge hole in it akin to sending a son away for two years... I thought that feeling would all be healed when they returned. It is hard to be so far away from our little ones!
Yours are so precious!

Hi Sue,
It is SO fun to win things. I've done some internet searching for a pattern similar to your primitive embroidery flag. I am thinking about just attempting to try my own just using your photo as a guide. Would you mind?
Blessings,
Lorilee

Very pretty! I never won anything until I began blogging. It makes the wins even sweeter now.
