Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Somebody Get Me A Lottery Ticket!

OK, remember how I said I never win anything? Well, I won another giveaway. This is the third one this year. I simply can't believe it! But the proof came in the mail today! Rachel, over at Made With Love and Glue, had a giveaway a few weeks ago and I was one of the lucky winners. I'm so happy! She sent me one of her handcrafted fabric flowers with a pin backing, but you can get a hair clip too. She has a bunch in her etsy shop. They'd make great gifts or a cute little hair doodle for the first day of school.

Here's my new pin on my jean jacket waiting patiently til the weather gets out of the 90's. Cute, no? LOVE IT! Thank you again, Rachel. Since I'm on a winning streak I guess my next win will be the ten million from Publisher's Clearing House! YAHOO!

You are certainly on a roll. Congratulations! I see you've been doing some yummy looking cooking--chocolate zucchini bread, apricot jam. Yum.
