Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Into the 21st Century

Well, ladies.... Here it is, my very own laptop. It's so speedy! It's so new! It's so great! My old PC was...so...very...slow. When I was downloading pictures, I could fold a load of laundry, make my bed, and take a little nap during the download. Not anymore! It took us a week to get it all set up. Now we're ready to go. Thank you to the mister for my early birthday present. Pretty good for a girl who learned to type on a Selectric. You younger girls will have to go look that up.

So many of you wanted to know what I bought at Swiss Days. I bought a scone for breakfast and that cute little hat for baby A. And that's it! Pathetic, I know. Janis, Sue, and I are going to the Country Barn Sale tomorrow. (In Kaysville) I'm almost positive I'll buy something there.

We went to Swiss Days on Saturday and by noon, it was impossible to walk and my mom had a guy run his stroller onto her foot and leave it there. Nuts! And kind of funny. I wanted a scone but ended up not getting one. I didn't see those cute crow pictures or the painted screens--I missed out! I hope the Barn has something good tomorrow--show us what you got. I hope my belly fits in their narrow aisles. :)

I use to have a computer like that, then i went crazy with how slow it was.
mine is super fast.
hope the barn is good, we will probably be busy at the shop then.
I sold at the barn, many years ago, well, not that many, well, maybe? You'd have to ask karen/sharon for sure.
tell them to come see the shop, sharon loves antiques.

So I guess you went to Swiss Days for the experience and not the shopping? i was smart this year. Gave my shopping list to a friend who was going. That way I got what I wanted and didn't have to fight the crowds! LOL

Aw, man, I can still hear the sound of those IBM's with their signature "clickety click" with each character typed! That really takes me back.
I am looking at another laptop, but not sure what I want and what I need. Hope yours is faster than greased lightening!

I have been using my husbands laptop, (he went back to school and needed one), I like how I can blog and watch tv at the same time, but I dont find the keyboard comfortable yet. Maybe I'll get used to it if I use it more:>)
