Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. One Year Ago

What a difference a year makes.
Sometimes I think finishing this house is taking forever, that we don't ever get anything done.

And then I looked at some pictures taken in September 2008. Maybe things are getting done after all.
Here's a couple of pictures of the backyard. This will be our summer of 2010 project.

We'll see if a year makes as big a difference in the backyard.

Is your home on Mutton Hollow? It seems like I've seen this house there~ Our previous home had a picket fence like this, I still miss it. It was so fun to decorate it for the holidays. Good luck with the backyard, I know it's a lot of work! Come see my new post :D

We get so used to seeing our improvements that we forget how much we have accomplished! The front yard looks beautiful, I know the back yard will be a paradise when you are done with it:>)

All I did to make the framed pumpkin was cut it in half and hot glue it to some paper in a frame. So easy!!!
