Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Birthdays

Today is the Mister's birthday. We took a little break from working on the house and spent the day in Salt Lake City.

Our first stop was the Clark Planetarium where we saw this...in 3D...at the Imax theatre. It was a little freaky but the mister loved it. He's geeky like that.
We had a late lunch at the Blue Plate Diner, wandered around Best Buy for awhile, then drove home in a huge rain and thunderstorm. That was definitely freaky.

Today was the beginning of our 7 birthdays, 1 anniversary, and Mother's Day in 2 1/2 weeks. This year we'll have one big celebration on May 1st so nobody dies of cake overdose. More celebrations to come!

We have a month like that, too. It's December. Kind of exhausting. Enjoy your one celebration, but make sure to shop for each individual event. It's the law.

Hi Mimi-Sue,
Happy Birthday to the Mister. Sounds like you were a good sport and did lots of "guy stuff" just for him. : )
Loved the tulip you made for the front door and especially the new oil cloth for your pantry. I've GOT to get my hands on some of that stuff and be IN with the IN CROWD like everyone else. : )

Happy Birthday Mister cottage!
Impressed he got to have a choice of events, that sounds fun though.

Wasnt that rain something...that last one you probably drove home in was a doozy. Glad I was home...think that was nap time, probably slept through most of it!

What a great idea to have one cake during that time. We get hit with quite a few in the summer, but it's over a 6 week period, so not as close together as yours! Happy Birthday to your dear hubby!
Blessings,
Marcia

Happy birthday to hubby, what a sweet fun day. Loved the cubcake. I went to JaboR's friday. I bought the little white shelf that Brenda had on her blog that morning. I also bought 5 tiny perfum bottles and some ribbon.

You sure do have allot of things coming up.

Big Hugs

Birthdays can't be better than this. This is one of the prettiest event venues and is like dream coming true. It was like getting back those childhood memories. The colorful balloons, fancy decoration and a huge box of chocolates Oh God it was so alluring. The music was so soothing. The best part of the evening was the romantic dance with my husband..
