Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a sweet comment.
Loved catching up here today. I espeically like the oil cloth and how you used it. Such a great idea.
Your walk in pantry is bigger than my farmhouse whole kitchen...hahaha

This is all anyone ever really needs to do (in my opinion!). The head is subservient to the heart, because God and love reside in your heart!
~Beautiful Mimi. Happy Sunday to you.

Hi Sue....I just love the comment you left on my blog Thank You!!...growing up in the 50's was really something...A much happier time for sure....me and the Boss talk about that all the time. The old pictures are alteast a wonderful remembrance of that time...How funny about your Mom...my mother was one wacky lady...My H.S. friends would come over the house just to see her..I would go out on a date to come home and find my best friend still at the house...she would always do my mothers hair for her..it was very funny...and my dates..they enjoyed talking to her more then me!! She looked as she got older exactly like Betty White and everytime we see Betty on t.v. me and daughter say...."There's Grandma"...Did you see the link I had to the post about her and my father?

Choices and attitudes can sure sure change a life and directions one takes.
As we love and serve with our youth I pray and constantly and tell them the choices of today will make huge differences in their tomorrows. Follow you heart (and the still small voice:)
Love this one!

Ps You asked me if I had caught up...nope and I won't. It is YOU who has to do the catching. We are close though... 1951 :D

Off topic, but in response to your comments on my bluebonnet photos, YES, they are lupines also, so they all look similar. I've seen flowers in Europe in different colors that look similar, guess they are all just a different variety of lupine.
