Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Wall to Wall

I told you last Tuesday that Mimi's Cottage's basement was going to get carpet on Wednesday. The carpet installers were supposed to come at noon. They showed up at 4:30. They put down the pad in the family room and then they went home. They said they'd be back on Thursday morning bright and early. So we waited...

And we waited... I called the carpet company at noon and they said I'd have to reschedule. Would I like them to come on Saturday or Tuesday? Huh?

We have a houseful of kids, grandkids, and dogs. The Easter Bunny was supposed to show up on Saturday, not the carpet installers!
Yesterday afternoon a new set of workers finally brought the carpet and got it installed.

Bless their hearts! It only took six days!

It's a sage green but looks kind of dark in the picture. The walls are painted Steamed Milk by Sherwin Williams. (It's white with just a hint of yellow) I saw it on Penny's blog and loved it so I copied.

Six days! But it's finally done and I love it.

You know that saying "good help is hard to get"...probably your carpet problem!
My tile guy hasnt shown up yet either...and I thought the economy needed us badly especially in the building business.

Mimi, it's so cool. On my computer it looks dark grey. It's beautiful, sage green sounds beautiful too. Have fun furnishing it. Be sure and take pictures. Have fun with your family.

Guess what happens to subs in the next life, who don't show up on time in this life? THE PEOPLE WHO WASTED AWAY OUR LIVES TWIDDLING OUR THUMBS WAITING WHILE THEY LIED AND LIED AND LIED SOME MORE get to pass judgement. What goes around comes around. But it does look beautiful.

You poor girl - - how frustrating!
So happy for you that it is now installed and finished! Looks good, makes me want to take off my shoes and walk across it's fluffy-ness.
