Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Festival of Trees 2010

Festival of Trees was a huge success and lots of fun.  Oh, and LOTS of work.
So many creative ideas.  A snowman made out of a Christmas tree.

Wreaths...

Beautiful handmade quilts.  Aren't the elf legs cute?

Gingerbread architecture...

Every single dime that was earned goes to the Primary Children's Medical Center for
medical care for kids.

If you weren't able to go this year, there's always next year.  It's held the first weekend in December.
Save the date!

I LOVE the Festival of Trees! The last two years, I've taken all my cute young women to it. This year, I'm no longer in YW, and I was sick and missed it. No fun! Thanks for posting your pictures!

Isn't it the most wonderful way to start the Christmas season? I am always amazed at all the creativity and LOVE which goes into it. I had a jaw surgery the Thursday it started and couldn't attend this year. I was so disappointed not to see our granddaughter and Miss P Mc Call dance on that Saturday.
Thanks for sharing your pictures and I know your mom was so lucky to have been in your home for so long. I wish my sweet mom would move in with us!~♥

You are so good... what work! But what a great cause. I need to mark my calender and go... it's been ages since I've been.

Hi my friend, you've been a busy little elf this year. Everything looks wonderful. We didn't get together to do a craft for Christmas, but I've sure we both have done a great deal. Let's get together sometime this next year. Have a wonderful Christmas.

big hugs
