Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Storm Drains

We've been having a little work done on the street in front of our house.

Our city officials decided we needed a storm drain.

We've had tractors, big trucks, and lots of workmen making lots of noise
starting at 7 AM each and every day for the past week.

Max has been thoroughly entertained.

He sits up on the back of the sofa and watches the show.

Kind of like a kitty.

The noise and disruption and no parking should last about three weeks.
But I won't be holding my breath until it's finished.

Ick...that will be a big inconvenience for awhile, but like all things, WILL BE WORTH IT eh.
Wow, haven't seen so many cement drainage dealys (ha ha, I am so technical)....
Max will be occupied for awhile anyway.

We went through that a few years ago and it was a mess. Hopefully it will be resolved for years and years to come. Wonder if Max thinks it's solely for his entertainment????
