Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Fabric Flower Corsage

Have you ever seen something on someones blog that is so cute that you had to run right
down to your craft room and make one for yourself?

Well, that's exactly what happened to me the other night.

I saw these adorable fabric flowers on The Polka Dot Closet.
Carol's blog is so fun and her tutorials are so easy to follow.

She made a bridal bouquet for her daughter in law with
these flowers!  Talk about a labor of love.

I used fabric that I had in my stash.  The flower's center is
an old pair of cheap earrings with the post removed.  But a
sparkly button would work.

These have a pin on the back so you could pin them on a coat or sweater but they'd be fun glued on a barrette or headband too.

Cute idea. Some vintage jewelry would be cute with them, too.
