Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. A Living Room Makeover

Daughter #2's new living room.

Sofa from Costco (!)

She made the slipcovers for the chairs.

And the pillows.

Cabinet on the right is part of her husband's grandmother's antique dining room set.

I think she did a great job on it.

Very calming and serene.

I just wish she didn't live four states away.

Goodness, isn't it gorgeous. Wow what a great job on those slip covers, the style of those chairs with the back are not easy to do!! I LOVE the fabric!

Before I read your words, my thoughts were "very soothing colors" and then you wrote "calm and serene". She did a lovely job.

Very pretty, did she order the sofa from Costco or was it in the store? I really like it.
