Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Happy Labor Day! 2013

The last big weekend of summer 2013!

A day to honor our workforce that built our great country
and keeps it going today.

When I was a kid it meant the end of summer vacation and the start of a brand new school year.

Usually school started with a bit of a sunburn and clothes that were waaayyy to warm for the beginning of September!

We're off playing with our friends.

Hope you had a safe and joyful weekend!

I think people have forgotten what labor day is about for the most part. I sure am happy to have another day off though. no kids to send back to school anymore.. but when I did, there would be a little bit of excitement involved as they would be returning to school the next day!
enjoy you day!
xoxo

Hi Sweet Mimi. I remember when I first saw your darling home. I loved it. I'm trying to make a new post on my blog right now. My niece just helped me. Come visit!
