Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Finishing Up Easter

Are we sick of Easter posts yet? Well, here's the last one from Mimi's Cottage for 2009. Janis, Sue, and I went up to the Rock Loft (an adorable gift shop in our area), to their spring open house. I put my name in for a drawing and look what I won. Cute bunny sitting on an Easter Egg.
This cute guy was having a great time at the Easter egg hunt the Saturday before Easter.

The sweetpeas in their Easter outfits. When I tried to dress their mother and her sister in matching dresses their mother always pitched a fit....

For the past few days the weather has been lovely.

So the mister and I finished up the sprinkler system...

Planted some roses and perennials...

And readied the ground to plant the lawn.
It's supposed to rain for the next two days. Sigh.

So many happy things to read about over here. Congrats on winning the bunny. I've been to the Rock Loft twice in my life when I visited a friend up there. I doubt you know her, but her name is Hollie Gilliland.
Anyway, next time you go into the R L, take pix if they'll let you. I just remember how magical and beautiful it all was.
And all the little sweetpeas look precious in their Easter clothes.

That's a darling bunny sitting on the egg. Don't you hate to put all of the cute things away for another year?
All of the kids are adorable.
My hubby was working on our sprinkler system yesterday too. I don't think we will need it for a few days though.
Do your roses survive the winters okay?

Those polka dot Easter dresses are adorable...as are the gorgeous models! I'm jealous you're planting already! We still have to wait another month.
