Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Happy Birthday X 10

Today we kicked off the 8 birthdays in 20 days festivities. It's the Mister's 62nd birthday today. We also have 2 daughters, 1 daughter in law, 2 grandchildren, 1 nephew, and 1 significant other's child born in the last week of April or the first week in May. Oh yes, and in that 20 days we also celebrate Mother's Day. So happy birthday to the Mister. He was 23 and I was 17 when we met. The time has just flown by. I also want to wish Janis's husband Roy a happy birthday today too. I met Janis through blogging a few months ago. Her husband was born on the same day, in the same year, and in the same city as my husband. Weird, huh?

What a whirlwind of birthdays!
Our family had birthdays in each month from April thru December. We realized this before our last daughter got married, so we jokingly told her that she needed to find a husband born in Jan, Feb or Mar because that was all that was left open. And maybe she could just ask them when their birthday was before going out with them, just to save time.;-)
Enjoyed your post, I'll stop by again soon.
Have a Lovely Day~

Whew!! You will be broke by the time you celebrate all of those birthdays! ;) What fun to be a part of a family where folks DO celebrate each others special day!

Your Easter decorations were darling! I loved the carrots placed in the hobnail container.

Your tulips DO look great--yes your hard work did pay off!!

Hope you have a great Earth Day!! Dana

That sounds like our month of March with all the birthdays. Happy birthday to your hubby and everyone else on your list of April/May birthdays. And yes that is a coincidence about your blog friend.

Good luck my friend! That's a lot of celebrating! And...obviously your hubby robbed the cradle. Oh well, that would make you a Trophy Wife. : )

Our family has the same situation for the month of May - about 10 birthdays, plus a couple anniversaries and mother's day. As the family has grown, we've gotten to where we just have one big 'Burton Birthday Bash' on Mother's Day cuz there's no way we can get everyone together for every event! Have fun celebrating!

Hi Sue, Tell everyone Happy Birthday from me, Diane. I sure do miss the good ol' day when us girls used to sit in Marie Calendars giggeling and laughing to our hearts content. What fun that was. I sure do enjoy your blog, it tickles me to see all the pretties you have posted including your sweetpeas! Sure do miss and love you!!!
