Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Mimi's Halloween Front Porch

I've really been in a Halloween mood this year. I'm so looking forward to Halloween parties (there's going to be a great one this Friday at Shelli's), pumpkin patch hopping, jack-o-lantern carving, costume making, and cute little trick or treaters ringing my doorbell. Last week I made up a garden flag to hang by my front porch. Spray painted and polka dotted a pumpkin... and foofed up my front porch with Halloween fun.

Remember my witches shoe?

Mimi had a handsome little helper.

I made a fun fabric halloween banner...

So that's it for the porch. Welcome to Mimi's Halloween home.

Mimi, I just love to visit your blog. Your porch is sooooo cute. Love the shoe on the door and the flag. I would love to have a steaming cup of apple cider and sit in that rocking chair on your porch and visit with you.

That's it! I'm going to town for some halloween fabric and I'm gonna copy some of your fun things!!! The flag, the shoe, the white poka doted pumpkin, the black planter, the banner, the entire package deal!
It looks very very inviting! I also want to come sit on it tomorrow and have some orange spice herb tea and biscotti and have a visit! :-) ya but to bad for me it's too far away...:-( So, I hope you sit out there and enjoy some visits from friends that do live close by!

Mimi! Your porch looks so cute and inviting. I love it all, the banner, the polka dots and the bucket pumpkins and your witch shoe turned out great. I agree with Cindy I could sit there for awhile in that chair and sip on some cider. Your pictures look good.

How very cute..the witch shoe has found it's place for sure, good place for it! Your handsome little helper is sure a cutie-pie too. Your porch looks awesome..I want to be a trick-or-treater there!
With the wind and our not quite 1 yr. old golden retrv. I don't dare put too much out there, he'd think I was giving him toys for sure!
Come say hi :D

I'm so smitten with your Boo-tiful witch's boot!
I've heard about Swiss Days(in Utah many years ago) from my SIl in Heber (who really had no interest, unbelievable, I know). So, she wasn't the one to ask for info. I had no idea it was still going on. I've had friends here in WA that would plan their vacations around attending the event. They'd said it took a couple days to see a-l-l the vendors, including the backtracking time to reclaim the items that they decided to go back and purchase.
I've always wanted to go, especially after seeing the treasures they'd return with.

Sweet wishes,
Sara
