Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Oh Hail

Look what was on Mimi's Cottage's roof this morning.
Last Thursday it was 90 degrees. Today we'll be lucky if it gets up to 55 degrees.

We went from summer to winter.

What happened to fall?

We went through that exact thing about a week ago, under the drains off the house there was 7" of hail piled up! Winter is getting close...oh fall..hold on!
Come say hi :D

Mr D and I watched it bounce off of the trampoline this morning and I mourned the loss of summer and sending noisy kids outside. ;)

Oh--I emailed you.

Wow, Mimi,
We have had several inches of rain. Yoakum, 1 hour North of here had 11 inches! We aren't having cooler weather though. It was 92 degrees today and extremely humid. I call it muggy and miserable!
Blessings,
Lorilee

Isn't this weather crazy! I have to admit I love it though. Except when I don't have a car and my kids have to walk to school in it!

This past weekend was awful. It seemed like a hurricane hit southern Utah. I think every bit of trash on the highway blew into our yard.
We didn't get hail though!! I heard on the news it is supposed to warm up again over the next few days. I sure hope so. Love the fall temps.

Looks like we got out of Dodge just in time Sunday night. : )
Ohh, wouldn't it be fun to get together sometime? This trip was such a hit and run trip. My head is still spinning.
I LOVED your bee-themed tablescape. What darling treasures!! And the doggie bed you shared from Tina was to die for. : )
By any chance have you heard if Janis's little paperdoll witch made it to her safe and sound? I'm such a worry-wart when it comes to shipping.
Oh, and yes Andy works at the Church Office Bldg. In some Records Department. : )
Take care,
M.L.

Mimi, We didn't get Hail but we did get cold weather and lots of rain. My prayers are that it stays fall till after Thanksgiving.

Hi Mim Sue,
That looks like snow on your roof! LOl It really puts you in shock when you have such a temperature drop like that, I hope you you don't have many storms like that.
Thank you for your wishes of us enjoying the grandchildren! We are so looking forward to seeing them again. It is really tough having them all so far away.

When they left after the summer and I was wiping those finger prints away, I thought of you when you posted of not wanting to wipe your grandchildren's prints away, and I just smiled.
Blessings,
Sue
