Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. This was a great year for our delphiniums.

They're gorgeous, especially with that picket fence in the background! I tried growing them once, but they never came back. I think I need to give them another try!

Your delphiniums are beautiful! I love these flowers, they stand so tall and colorful! I have the lavender and white mixed together at our cabin in the mountains and they are so low maintenance!
Thanks for sharing!

I love Delphiniums but I have never had good luck with them, we have dry sandy soil and it doesn't seem to give them what they need. Do yours self seed well?

I don't know if I can trust that those are real~possibly you went to Hobby Lobby and installed them? Even if that's not the case, I sleep better at night telling myself that you did. :) Beautiful!

These are so beautiful Mimi Sue! Do you stake yours? I've always had problems with them snapping over in the wind or rain! So pretty!

Mimi~I wished my hubs would grow Delphiniums, I would ,but I've got a brown thumb. My neighbor has them in her yard and lets me pick a few. I think they're a beautiful addition in any floral arrangement, especially this color.

Sweet wishes,
Sara

They are beautiful. I've never been successful growing them. Maybe it's our clay.
